
BIG EAST Selects Stonewall to Honor Roll

CHICAGO - After a 1-1 week in which the loss came in a closely fought road game against No. 2/2 Notre Dame, Chante Stonewall earned a spot on the BIG EAST Honor Roll Monday.
The other half of DePaul's talented sophomore duo (along with Kelly Campbell), Stonewall helped the Blue Demons match No. 2/2 Notre Dame for three quarters in a 91-82 loss on Sunday.
The 6-foot, 1-inch forward had her best all-around game of the season with 16 points, seven rebounds, four assists, three steals and one block while going 4-for-4 from three-point range.
She scored 14 points in the second and third quarters and went 4-for-4 from long distance in helping keep the Blue Demons within 41-40 at halftime and 60-58 after three quarters.
On Wednesday after DePaul fell behind 20-2, Stonewall led an amazing comeback that included outscoring Northwestern 41-9 in the third quarter en route to a 92-63 win.
Stonewall finished with a season-high 19 points and added five rebounds, three assists and one steal. She was 3-of-6 from beyond the arc.
For the week, Stonewall had 35 points, 12 rebounds, seven assists, four steals, one block and was 7-of-10 from deep.
DePaul (7-4) closes out the nonconference portion of its schedule with a 7 p.m. game Wednesday against IUPUI at McGrath-Phillips Arena.
