
Men's Tennis Notches Sixth Win in a Row

CHICAGO- The DePaul men's tennis team defeated Lewis University 5-2 on Saturday evening for its sixth win a row and best start of the dual season since 2015.
DePaul (6-0) closed out its six-match homestand against the Flyers (1-2) at Lakeshore Sport & Fitness.
Nathan de Veer continues to lead the DePaul squad, remaining undefeated in singles play. He has notched a perfect 6-0 singles mark in the dual campaign and is now 5-0 in doubles with Alex Galoustian.
DePaul claimed the doubles point against Lewis with wins at No. 1 and No. 3. de Veer and Galoustian defeated Alan Braschinsky and Mate Srdanovic 6-3 at No. 1, while Fran Tonejc and Christopher Casati recorded a 6-2 finish over Benjamin Kasbeer and Anton Levitin at No. 3.
In singles, Boris Spanjaard got the first point at No. 3 with a 6-0, 6-3 mark over Andre Norasith. Tamas Zador followed at No. 6 with a 6-1, 6-4 victory over Kasbeer. de Veer bested Braschinsky 6-3, 6-4 at No. 1.
Conor O'Meara played in his first singles match of the dual season at No. 5 and won over Chandler Stimpert 6-4, 5-7, 6-3 for DePaul's fifth point.
After a lengthly home stay at Lakeshore Sport & Fitness, the Blue Demons travel out east to Williamsburg, Va. for their first away competition of the dual season next weekend. DePaul plays William & Mary on Saturday, Feb. 18 at 3 p.m. and George Washington on Sunday, Feb. 19 at 10 a.m.
