WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The DePaul men's tennis team got back to its winning ways with a 4-0 sweep over IUPUI on Saturday morning on the courts of the Schwartz Tennis Center on Purdue's campus.
The win for DePaul (7-2) snaps a two-match losing streak.
The Blue Demons grabbed the doubles points with wins at the No. 1 and No. 3 spot. Alex Galoustian and Nathan de Veer paired at No. 1 for a 6-4 finish over Bradley Luetschwager and Matt Moe. The win marks the sixth in a row for the duo.
Fran Tonejc and Christopher Casati grabbed the victory at No. 3 with a 6-2 win over Marcus Nalley and Steven Christie.
DePaul grabbed the final three points No. 1, No. 2 and No. 6 singles for the match to end. de Veer defeated Christie 6-4, 6-1 at the top spot, while Galoustian defeated Jose Calero at No. 2 6-2, 6-1. Casati recorded a 6-2, 6-2 finish over Mikel Saavedra at No. 6.
The Blue Demons return to the courts of the Schwartz Tennis Center to take on Purdue at 1 p.m. CT.
