
Purdue Defeats Men's Tennis

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The DePaul men's tennis team fell 4-0 to host Purdue on Saturday afternoon at the Schwartz Tennis Center.
DePaul (7-3) finished the day 1-1 after defeating IUPUI earlier in the morning. Purdue is now 7-5 in the spring season.
Purdue quickly grabbed the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 3. The tandems of Nathan de Veer and Alex Galoustian and Fran Tonejc and Christopher Casati suffered their first dual losses of the season against the Boilermakers.
The No. 7 duo of Gergely Madarasz and Ricky Medinilla bested de Veer and Galoustian 6-3 at No. 1.
Casati and Tonejc fell 6-2 to Athell Bennett and Stephan Koenigsfest at No. 3.
The Boilermakers clinched their final three points at the No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4 singles spot to end the match.
Up next, DePaul heads to the HEB Invitational in Corpus Christi, Texas March 3-4.
