NOTRE DAME, IN - The DePaul men's and women's cross country teams competed at the 62nd Annual Joe Piane Invitational this afternoon. The meet was held at the Notre Dame Burke Golf Course and hosted 42 men's and 47 women's teams. The Blue Demons ran to 13th place on the men's side and 21st place on the women's side at an extremely competitive meet.
On the men's side, Chris Korabik led DePaul clocking in at (25:44.5) for a 45th place finish in the men's gold race. This is the quickest five mile posted by a Blue Demon this season.
Miranda Rea was the top finisher on the women's side for the second meet in a row. Finishing at 43rd place, Rea ran a (18:15.1) in the women's 5,000m gold race. This time was 27 seconds faster than her performance two weeks ago at the National Catholic Championships hosted by Notre Dame.
