MILWAUKEE – DePaul men's tennis racked up its first win of the new season Thursday at the prestigious 43rd Milwaukee Tennis Classic with a field of 21 men's tennis teams from across the country.
Following singles play, the team of Boris Spanjaard and Christopher Casati prevailed 8-5 over their doubles counterparts Razvan Grigorescu and Abdoul Ouattara of Omaha in the afternoon.
They advance to the main draw round of 16 to face the Tennessee tandem of Preston Touliatos and Luca Wiedenmann. They defeated Wisconsin's Alan Sweet and Robert Krill 8-1.
