Blue Madness Set for Thursday for Students at McGrath-Phillips Arena

Student-only event kicks off 2019-20 basketball seasons

CHICAGO – DePaul University students can kick off the 2019-20 basketball season on Thursday with Blue Madness presented by Parson's Chicken & Fish. The event is exclusive to DePaul students only and starts at 6:30 p.m. at McGrath-Phillips Arena.

The event includes team scrimmages, a men's basketball dunk competition and women's basketball three-point contest. Students will have the opportunity to win prizes throughout the evening.

The students in attendance will receive a DePaul Basketball Gameday t-shirt and students can also purchase items from the rummage sale which features exclusive and authentic DePaul athletic gear. Additionally, raffle prizes will be available throughout the event.

The evening concludes with a FREE Food Truck Food Fest party under the "L" tracks between McGrath-Phillips Arena and Cacciatore Stadium. Vendors include Parson's Chicken & Fish, Cheesies, Don Rafa Taco and Buona.
