Blue Demons Finish Tied for Second, Wolf Tied for Third

Campbell Wolf records best collegiate finish and tournament score
UNION, Ky. – Solid team play in the third round moved DePaul into a tie for second as the NKU Fall Classic concluded on Tuesday. Campbell Wolf recorded the best finish of his collegiate career in a tie for third while Nik Gatmaytan also finished in the top 20.
Wolf carded a 73 (+2) on Tuesday for a tournament score of 212 (-1). The tie for third marked his first top 10 finish while his 54-hole total score also set a career best. Gatmaytan posted the best round of the day by a DePaul golfer with a 70 (-1) on Tuesday. His score of 219 (+6) put him in a group in 16th place.
Perry Chong and Stephen Sul were tied for 22nd while Noah Kolar finished in a group in 36th place. Chong posted a 75 (+4) in the third round while Sul finished with a 73 (+2). Both players posted tournament totals of 222 (+9). Kolar finished at 226 (+13) following a third round score of 77 (+6).
Morehead State claimed the team title with an eight-shot advantage over DePaul and Northern Kentucky in the tie for second place. The Blue Demons finished at 871 (+19) for the tournament. Anthony Occhiuto from Detroit Mercy captured medalist honors with a score of 204 (-9).
The Blue Demons take a short break in the schedule before playing at the Georgetown Intercollegiate on Oct. 14-15. The fall schedule continues with the Musketeer Classic on Oct. 21-22 and a match against Loyola-Chicago on Oct. 28.
