Sul, Glennon Finish in Tie for 14th

Freshmen duo leads Blue Demons on Sunday
PINEHURST, N.C. – The freshmen duo of Conor Glennon and Stephen Sul led the golf team on the final day of the Pinehurst Invitational as they finished in a group in 14th place. Sul carded the best round by a DePaul golfer with a 72 (+1) on Sunday.
Glennon and Sul each posted a three-round score of 227 (+14) to finish in a tie for 14th place. Sul's one-over round on Sunday was the top single-round performance of the weekend for the Blue Demons while Glennon's score of 73 (+2) was his best circuit of Pinehurst No. 8.
Nik Gatmaytan and Noah Kolar finished in a group in 52nd place with tournament scores of 238 (+15). Gatmaytan recorded his best round of the tournament with a 78 (+7) on Sunday while Kolar recorded an 80 (+9) in his third round.
Campbell Wolf carded an 84 (+13) in the third round to finish at 248 (+35) for 69th place while Perry Chong shot a 79 (+8) for a 54-hole total of 251 (+38) to finish in 72nd place.
Elon won the team and individual titles while the Blue Demons finished 11th. DePaul's Sunday score of 303 (+19) was the best team round of the event and the Blue Demons finished with a team total of 930 (+78).
Up next for the Blue Demons is the North Alabama Spring Classic on March 23-24. The three-round, two-day event takes place at Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at the Shoals in Muscle Shoals, Ala.
