Sports Medicine Adds Three New Staff Members

Eileen Bennett, Danielle McCormick and Nicole Schulz recently joined sports medicine staff
CHICAGO – The DePaul athletics department announced today that Eileen Bennett, Danielle McCormick and Nicole Schulz have recently joined the staff as assistant directors of sports medicine. The trio started in August with the sports medicine department.
Bennett will work with the men's soccer and softball programs and started on Aug. 31. She joins the staff after working at ATI Physical Therapy as an Outreach and Clinical Athletic Trainer after previous stops at the University of Oregon and Catawba College. At Oregon, Bennett completed her master's degree in Human Physiology – Athletic Training while working with the women's soccer program and the university's club sports program. Following graduation at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, she completed a year at Catawba as an athletic trainer with the football and softball programs.
McCormick joined the staff on Aug. 10 and will primarily handle the sports medicine responsibilities for the women's soccer, men's tennis, women's tennis and golf programs. She recently completed her graduate degree at Weber State University in Athletic Training where she worked with the football program and a variety of high school teams in the Ogden, Utah area. As an undergraduate student, McCormick worked in the training room at Concordia University Chicago before graduating in 2018.
Schulz heads to Chicago from Florida after working at Eckerd College since 2015. With the Tritons, she worked with the women's basketball, softball and volleyball programs and served as the athletic insurance coordinator. She completed her graduate degree in Human Performance at Lindenwood University in 2015. At Lindenwood, Schulz handled the sports medicine duties with the women's gymnastics and field hockey programs. As an undergraduate at Central Methodist University she worked as a student athletic trainer before graduating in 2013 with an Athletic Training degree. Schulz started at DePaul on Aug. 24 and is the primary sports medicine contact for the women's basketball program.
