
DePaul Athletics and Wintrust Expand Annual Reading Program

Wintrust Reads encourages young learners to develop strong goal setting and educational habits that enhance comprehension, improve analytical abilities, and spur imagination
CHICAGO – DePaul Athletics and Wintrust are continuing their partnership for the 2021-22 school year to offer a free reading program for Chicagoland students in sixth grade and under. The program, known as Wintrust Reads, encourages young learners to develop strong goal setting and educational habits that enhance comprehension, improve analytical abilities, and spur imagination.
To successfully complete the program, students must read for a total of 300 minutes and submit a reading scorecard to DePaul Athletics. Upon completion, students will be eligible to receive two complimentary tickets to a select DePaul Basketball game and will also receive a certificate and exclusive school kit.

Further enhancing the objectives of the program, DePaul Athletics provides participants opportunities to get involved with the Junior Savers Club, an education and activity club for kids offered by Wintrust Financial Corporation. The mission of the Junior Savers Club is to teach kids about money early on—which can make a big impact for a healthy financial future—and showing them firsthand how saving can be fun.
