DePaul Athletics to Host Broadcast Edition of "So you Want to Work in Sports"

DePaul Athletics set to host another edition of webinar series
CHICAGO – DePaul Athletics has announced the return of its popular career development webinar series, "So You Want to Work in Sports" with a panel discussion covering broadcast on Thursday, April 29 from noon-1pm CT.
The upcoming panel includes sports broadcasting experts with a variety of expertise across television, radio, collegiate, and professional sports. Audience members will hear from Jason Benetti (Chicago White Sox/ESPN, Play by Play Announcer), Lisa Byington (Sports Broadcaster – Fox Sports, CBS/Turner Sports, Big Ten Network, and more!), and Professor Scott Vyverman (DePaul, College of Communication, Radio DePaul).
"So You Want to Work in Sports" panels brings together leaders in the sports industry and DePaul faculty for exciting discussions on their careers. The series provides conversations on what it takes to be a part of the industry, thoughts on developing a career in athletics, and insights for students looking to get a head start on working in the world of sports.
The discussion will be moderated by Jessica Lazo (DePaul Women's Soccer Student-Athlete) and DePaul MBA student Jessica Ley (DePaul Athletics Marketing Graduate Assistant).
Each "So You Want to Work in Sports" panel is developed in collaboration with DePaul Athletics, the Career Center, University Advancement, Athletic Academic Advising and Blue Crew.
