
Three Finish in Top 16 at BIG EAST Championship

Glennon, Gatmaytan and Yalovenko lead Blue Demons at BIG EAST event
BOWLING GREEN, Fla. – Conor Glennon, Nik Gatmaytan and Artemiy Yalovenko all finished in the top 16 to lead DePaul at the BIG EAST Championship presented by JEEP. Glennon was tied for 10th followed by Gatmaytan in a group in 13th and Yalovenko in 16th place.
Glennon posted a tournament score of 219 (+3) after carding a 74 (+2) in Wednesday's final round. Gatmaytan registered the best third-round score for DePaul with a 71 (-1) for a 54-hole total of 220 (+4). Yalovenko was two shots behind Gatmaytan at 222 (+6). He finished his first BIG EAST event with a 76 (+4) in the third round.
Noah Kolar and Perry Chong rounded out the DePaul contingent on Wednesday. Kolar was 32nd overall with a tournament total of 232 (+16) that included a 77 (+5) in the third round. Chong carded a 77 (+5) in the third round to follow an 84 (+12) in Monday's first round. Grant Boyson played the No. 5 spot for DePaul in the second round on Tuesday with a score of 81 (+9).
Connecticut claimed the team title finishing six shots ahead of second-place Marquette. DePaul placed sixth and was six strokes behind fifth-place Villanova. Butler's Michael Cascino won the individual championships on the third playoff hole after finishing in a tie with Marquette's Hunter Eichhorn. Both players led the field with scores of 209 (-7).
