DePaul Athletics Continues Partnership for Wintrust Reads

Open to all Chicagoland students sixth grade and under
CHICAGO – As part of the 2022-23 school year, DePaul Athletics and Wintrust will launch another installment of their free reading program. Open to Chicagoland students in sixth grade and under, Wintrust Reads promotes good learning habits and rewards students for their efforts in their reading journey.
The Wintrust Reads program encourages students to read a total of 300 minutes and submit a reading scorecard to DePaul Athletics. Students who complete the program receive an exclusive Wintrust school kit, completion certificate, and two complimentary tickets to a select DePaul basketball game.
Reward games for the 2022-23 season include:

Jan. 11 – Women's Basketball vs. St. John's

Jan. 18 – Men's Basketball vs. Xavier

Jan. 31 – Men's Basketball vs. Connecticut

Feb. 4 – Women's Basketball vs. Xavier

Feb. 8 – Women's Basketball vs. Butler

Feb. 22 – Men's Basketball vs. Butler

Feb. 25 – Women's Basketball vs. Connecticut
The Wintrust Virtual Kids Library video series will also make its return, with new DePaul Blue Demon student-athletes to be featured. Throughout the month of March, the video series will be expanded to showcase children's stories in celebration of National Reading Month.
Further enhancing the objectives of the program, DePaul Athletics provides participants opportunities to get involved with the Junior Savers Club, an education and activity club for kids offered by Wintrust Financial Corporation. The mission of the Junior Savers Club is to teach kids about money early on—which can make a big impact for a healthy financial future—and showing them firsthand how saving can be fun.
