
DePaul Golf Wraps Up BIG EAST Championship

Artemiy Yalovenko and Nik Gatmaytan each finish in top 25 to lead Blue Demons
PINE MOUNTAIN, Ga. – Artemiy Yalovenko finished in a tie for 17th place to lead the Blue Demons as the 2022 BIG EAST Championship presented by JEEP concluded at Callaway Resort and Gardens. Yalvenko was joined by Nik Gatmaytan in the top 25 as DePaul wrapped up the 2021-22 campaign.
Yalovenko turned in an even-par 72 on Wednesday for a tournament score of 218 (+2). Gatmaytan finished in a tie for 22nd place as he posted a total of 220 (+4). The senior finished his DePaul career with a 75 (+3) in the third round.
Noah Kolar, Grant Boyson and Alex Vekich rounded out play for DePaul at the conference event. Kolar carded a 75 (+3) in the third round for a 54-hole total of 222 (+6) that placed him in a group in 26th place. Boyson, also playing in his final event for DePaul, was 44th with a total of 234 (+18) following his final round score of 78 (+6) while Vekich played just the final round with an 83 (+11).
Seton Hall overtook Connecticut and Marquette in the final round to claim the team title while Connecticut's Caleb Manuel and Seton Hall's Gregor Tait shared medalist honors before Manuel won the playoff. The Blue Demons finished in ninth place.
