Cheer Earns Nationals Bid at 2022 NCA Camp

The 2022-23 DePaul Cheer season kicked off last week as the team attended the annual National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) Camp.
The three-day NCA camp was held at Michigan's Port Huron Convention Center from Aug. 7-9 and featured more than 400 cheerleaders from 13 universities. Programming was focused on advancing team skills in stunting and pyramids, learning new crowd-leading skills and team bonding.
The squad earned Superior marks in the Rally Routine and Game Day categories, in addition to earning a bronze bid to college nationals this spring in Daytona Beach, Florida.
The team will break for the remainder of the summer, returning to campus this fall for performances at volleyball, men's and women's basketball, and preparation for nationals competition.
