DIBS is the iconic spirit of DePaul University and its intercollegiate athletics program. As DePaul Athletics' biggest fan, DIBS can get a little too excited at games, but he's never too busy to mingle with fans and he's certainly not camera shy. He is loyal, faithful and the coolest shade of blue! Â
The name DIBS may sound odd but there is a reason... DIBS stands for Demon In a Blue Suit. The Blue Demon mascot originally came to DePaul under the name Billy. After the logo was updated, he figured it was time for an update of his own.
You can find DIBS at many events on campus and throughout Chicago, including all men's and women's basketball games at Wintrust Arena and select volleyball, soccer and softball games in Lincoln Park.  You may also find him hanging out with fellow mascot friends at various professional sporting events in the city or at the BIG EAST tournament at Madison Square Garden. Â
In fact, DIBSÂ is available to come to your event! To contact DIBS for appearances, please complete the request form below. Our spirit coordinator or member of the Athletics staff will be in touch to confirm availability.Â
Please note that depending on the type of event and location, an appearance fee may apply. Â General pricing is below; however, custom pricing is available.Â
Events On Lincoln Park or Loop Campus for DePaul departments/Student Groups: Â Free
Events Off Campus for DePaul departments/Student Groups: $50
Events On Lincoln Park or Loop Campus for Outside Groups: $75
Events Off Campus for Outside Groups: $100 + cost of transportation/mileage at 58.5 cents per mile.Â
All events should be prepared to provide the DIBS performer with a private space to change as well as bottled water. Â
