Huck, Mandocescu Shine on Day One at ND Mini-Dual

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – DePaul's performance Friday was highlighted by two tight victories from Leon Huck and Laurentiu Mandocescu at the Notre Dame Mini-Dual.

In the opening round of doubles, graduate students Huck/Mandocescu took down Princeton's Landon Ardila and Paul Inchauspe, 6-4. The impressive duo also secured their second doubles victory in the afternoon, knocking off the German pairing of Andre' Steinbach and Piet Steveker of Louisville by a score of 7-5.

While the Blue Demons secured just two of twelve singles and doubles wins on day one, they look ahead to day two of competition on Saturday, which is set to start at 9 A.M. CST at the Eck Tennis Pavilion in South Bend.
