Blue Demons score highest individual round since 2018

PALM CITY, FLA. – The DePaul men's golf team concluded play at the Advance Golf Partners Collegiate Tuesday afternoon. The Blue Demons moved into third place behind an outstanding round three performance where the team shot 280(-8) to finish with an overall score of 869(+5). Individually, DePaul had four competitors finish in the top-20 in the tournament which featured 19 teams and 119 golfers.

DePaul's third round score of 280 was the best individual round for the Blue Demons since Feb. 25, 2018.

Artemiy Yalovenko finished in a team-high ninth place, following a day where he shot 68(-4). Yalovenko moved up nearly 20 places thanks to his round three performance. The ninth-place finish is the best placement of his career while his 68 matches his best 18.

Noah Kolar ended his tournament tied for 15th, highlighted by a 71(-1) stroke performance Monday in round two. Alex Vekich also posted a 68(-4) in the third and final round, marking the best 18-hole performance of his career. Vekich's under-par round launched him into a tie for 18th place, 36 places higher than where he stood following Monday's round. Vekich tied teammate Conor Glennon who scored 69(-3) in Tuesday's final round.

Cameron Karney rounded out the counting individuals for DePaul with a 226(+10) to finish in 50th. Individual competitiors Billy Gneiser and Aarjav Patel finished 83rd and 91st, respectively.
