DePaul Cheer Earns 5th Place Finish at Nationals

DePaul Cheer is returning from Daytona Beach with a fifth place finish at NCA Collegiate Nationals!

The Blue Demons participated in the Intermediate Division I All-Girl category, the largest division of the 2023 championship.

The team posted the highest score in program history in the preliminary round on Apr. 6, sending them into finals as the No. 6 team. In the finals on Apr. 7, DePaul posted another program-high score, vaulting them into the Top Five.

The University of New Hampshire claimed the national title, followed by North Carolina A&T State, Florida A&M, Sacramento State and DePaul.

DePaul's competition team included returning members Gwen Halik, Alysia Haywood, Paige Moore and Jamya Whitman. Abby Bujdos, Madison Hanna, Alison Ing-Hanes, Morgan Joseph, Caitlin Kendrick, Daniella Ortiz, Emma Rieder, Kadence Rivera Emily Santos, Sara Schubach and Gracie Velazquez are all made their first appearance at NCA Nationals.
