
Yalovenko Takes Third, Blue Demons Conclude BIG EAST Championships

HARDEEVILLE, S.C. – Artemiy Yalovenko rounded out his strong BIG EAST Championship performance with a third place finish Monday afternoon at the Riverton Pointe Golf and Country Club in Hardeeville, S.C. Yalovenko's finish is the second-best all-time by a DePaul golfer at the BIG EAST Championship and best since 2019. He was an integral part in helping DePaul take seventh overall as a team, marking the second-straight season the Blue Demons have improved their finish from the year before.
Yalovenko notched a 73 (+2) in Monday's final round, which included going one under par through the front nine, for a total event score of 216 (E). It was Yalovenko's third top-10 finish of the season and personal best finish and score at the BIG EAST Championships. He finished two strokes behind the eventual champion, Peicheng Chen from St. John's who totaled a 214 (-2).
Noah Kolar and Ryder Henares tied in 21st place as DePaul had three top-25 finishers for the second-consecutive season. Conor Glennon had the best final round of all Blue Demon golfers as he concluded competition with a 71 (-1) in the final 18, including an eagle at the seventh hole.
The Blue Demons final team finish was bolstered by DePaul's best team round of 18 of the Championships with a 291 (+3) Monday, improving the team score in each round of competition.
