DePaul Cheer heads to NCA Nationals

DePaul Cheerleading is heading to Daytona!
DePaul will compete in the NCA Collegiate Cheer Championships, which runs April 11-13 at Ocean Center and the Bandshell in Dayton Beach, Florida. Â
The Blue Demons will participate in the Division I Intermediate Small Coed category, with their semifinal routine scheduled for Thursday, April 11 at approximately 1:10 PM CT.Â
Finals are set for Friday morning, April 12, with the national champion crowned that afternoon.
Fifteen cheerleaders comprise DePaul's team, including eight members who were a part of last year's 5th-place team (Gwen Halik,  Jamya Whitman,  Abby Bujdos,  Alison Ing-Hanes,  Caitlin Kendrick, Daniella Ortiz,Emily Santos, and Sara Schubach).  They are joined by Kennedy Aurigemma, Leonardo Diaz Gomez, Ben Felix, Yuliana Garzon, Kayleen Iniguez, Kaden Jackson, Elliott Pelter and Victoria Rueda, who are all making their first appearance at NCA Nationals.

The Blue Demons are coached by Spirit Director Shanon Lersch and Cheer Coach Francine Dilay.Â
