ABOUT DEPAUL ATHLETICS
DePaul's 15 intercollegiate athletic teams compete in the NCAA Division I, BIG EAST Conference. DePaul University began sponsoring athletics teams in the early 1900's, with intercollegiate athletics coming to fruition in the 1920's. Legendary coach Ray Meyer helped put DePaul on the map in the 1970's as the men's basketball program helped elevate the university to national prominence. Through a bold new vision for the future, DePaul Athletics looks to become the premier program in the BIG EAST Conference through a focus on winning championships with integrity, building champion students through education and intentional development, and serving as a visible ambassador for DePaul University and the Chicago community. DePaul Athletics has a storied tradition and is uniquely positioned to support the university's mission and commitment to academic excellence, real world experience, community engagement, and systemic change. Further, the department is steadfast in its commitment to grow the university's national exposure and enrollment through athletics. Visit DePaulBlueDemons.com to learn more.
Formerly known as the Champions Club, the rebranded DePaul Athletics Fund (DAF) signifies more than a name change. Donors at all levels can earn substantial rewards through the reimagined benefits structure, in addition to exclusive engagement opportunities and personalized communications detailing the impact of contributions.
Key Enhancements Include:
- Benefits Chart – DePaul Athletics Fund has introduced a detailed benefits chart outlining the exclusive perks available to donors at different giving levels. This chart will help fans select the level that best suits their philanthropic support level. Annual membership begins at $100.
- Revised Priority Point System – The former "Blue Demon Loyalty Points" program will be replaced prior to the 2024-25 basketball season with a new, more straightforward priority point system. To recognize and reward the commitment of our most dedicated supporters, a priority point system has been implemented. Priority Points will be accrued based on philanthropic donations to both athletics and university, Mikan Society Bonus, Season Tickets, and season ticket loyalty.
- Per-seat Contribution – As we continue to invest in men's basketball, we want to ensure Coach Holtmann and his staff have the resources necessary to compete within the BIG EAST Conference and nationally. Beginning with the 2024-25 season, every NEW lower-level seat at Wintrust Arena will include a per-seat contribution. This non-deductible contribution will support the Fund for Basketball Excellence – a fundraising account designed to support operational needs and enhancement to the student-athlete experience for the men's basketball program.
Key highlights of the new benefits structure include:
- Postseason Ticket Priority Request
- Invite to DePaul Athletic Fund Days
- Exclusive Basketball Practice Invite
- Enhanced Mikan Society Benefits
