CHICAGO - For the 12th-consecutive year, DePaul athletics and its student-athletes kicked off the academic year with a department-wide Wintrust Blankets project.
Wintrust Blankets is an annual service project organized at DePaul, the largest initiative for the department outside of Vincentian Service Day. The program is included in the student-athlete orientation to demonstrate what community service means at DePaul and the impact each of them can make. In total, the athletic department made nearly 100 blankets on Wednesday to kick-off the program which runs throughout the academic year. All blankets will be donated by first-year students to the St. Vincent de Paul Center to help those in need.
