Pawlikowski brings over two decades of experience to Lincoln Park
CHICAGO – DePaul volleyball head coach Marie Zidek announced on Tuesday afternoon the addition of Dan Pawlikowski as an assistant coach. Pawlikowski brings two decades of coaching experience to Lincoln Park, including most recently as the Associate Head Coach at Michigan.
"Dan is a coach that has spent time playing, studying, and impacting the game of volleyball at every level," said Zidek.
"He brings a wealth of experience coaching youth, collegiate, professional, and national team volleyball. He has experience with a myriad of men's and women's programs in the NCAA, and knows the specific challenges every program faces when championship hunting. Dan is a dynamic recruiter who will help me show the world how special DePaul is. He contributes a uniquely well-rounded mind backed by decades of experience to our program, and it couldn't come at a better time as we look to reload for another strong season in 2025. I look forward to welcoming Dan and his family to DePaul."
Pawlikowski joins the Blue Demons after spending two seasons at Michigan, where he helped guide the squad to an 18-13 overall record in 2024.
He has also coached professionally with multiple clubs in the Danish League, and earned his first head-coaching gig as the men's volleyball head coach at Dominican University from 2017-19, leading the team to just their second-ever NCAA Division III Tournament bid in 2017. While at Dominican, he coached one AVCA All-American, Luke Spicer, and an honorable mention for the All-America Team, Ethan Klosak.
Pawlikowski is no stranger to the city of Chicago, having begun his college coaching career in 2004 at Loyola Chicago, serving on the men's coaching staff. In 2005, he helped the Ramblers to their best season in program history, with a 26-3 record. During his three seasons at Loyola, the team went 72-13, and he assisted four student-athletes in earning AVCA All-America honors.
Pawlikowski graduated from the University of Illinois in 2001 with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and a minor in Cinema Studies.
