Blue Demons have served over 76,000 students with annual initiative since 2008
CHICAGO – DePaul Athletics welcomed an incredible 9,526 attendees from 60 Chicagoland schools to the 2025 Field Trip Day at Wintrust Arena Nov. 17, setting a new women's basketball attendance record and pushing total attendance for the annual event to over 76,000 since 2008. The day celebrated both athletics and education, highlighting the power of community and bringing students, teachers, and families together for a memorable experience.
More than 6,500 students received Wintrust Bank and DePaul branded beanies thanks to the presenting sponsor, Wintrust Jr. Savers Club, along with books provided through DePaul's partnership with Fight4Literacy. Students also enjoyed coloring sheets, math worksheets, and word searches throughout the arena.
The gameday experience was packed with fun and engagement. In-game activations included a teacher vs. student spelling bee, halftime entertainment by Allstar Stunt Dogs, and a second-half stretch led by women's tennis head coach Marisa Arce. The energy in the building was electric as students cheered for the Blue Demons during the local matchup against nearby Northwestern.
With interactive activities, educational giveaways, and unforgettable live entertainment, the 2025 Field Trip Day reaffirmed DePaul Athletics' commitment to fostering learning, fun, and a sense of belonging for students across the city.
