
Blue Demons Continue Impressive Outdoor Slate at Drake Relays

Kash Allen, Demetrius Rolle set new program bests
DES MOINES, Ia. – Fueled by record-setting performances and multiple finals qualifications, DePaul track and field delivered an impressive first day at the 2025 Drake Relays.
The Blue Demons' women's field athletes set the tone early. Jessica Beckman opened the afternoon with a fourth-place finish in the discus at 48.69m, while Kash Allen claimed the women's shot put crown, breaking her own school record with a mark of 15.98m. In the triple jump invitational section, Jaiah Hopf soared to third place at 12.47m, and Eveline Reno followed closely behind in fourth with a season-best 12.43m.
Momentum carried onto the track, where DePaul's sprint relays and sprinters advanced multiple entries. The women's 4x100m squad of Nevaeh Lowe, Jetta Mays, Maia Mays, and Sade Miller clocked 46.00 to move into Saturday's final. Miller later added an individual qualification in the women's 100m, posting a second-place finish in the prelims at 11.54.
On the men's side, the Blue Demons kept the pressure on. The 4x100m relay quartet of Dominic Cole, Charles Lewis, Amaru Mazibuko, and Demetrius Rolle secured a spot in the final with a 40.51 performance. Rolle then delivered another historic moment individually, breaking DePaul's outdoor 100m record with a time of 10.29 to advance to Saturday's final. In hurdles action, Darius Brown won his 110m hurdles preliminary heat in 13.65.
