DePaul Cheer Earns Top 10 Finish at 2025 NCA Nationals

DePaul Cheer returned from Daytona Beach with a top 10 finish at NCA Collegiate Nationals. The competition was held April 10-12, 2025.

The Blue Demons participated in the Intermediate Division I Small Coed category for the second-consecutive year, after competing in the all-girl division in 2023.

The team scored an 87.94 in the finals to claim 9^th place. North Carolina A&T State University defended their 2024 title, beating out Stephen F Austin and Sacramento State for the 2025 crown.

Twelve cheerleaders compromised DePaul's team, including returners Gwen Halik, Jamya Whitman, Sara Schubach, Yuliana Garzon, Kayleen Iniguez, Kaden Jackson and Victoria Rueda. They were joined by Isabel Hernandez, Cassandra Khan, Mackenzie Medema, Echo O'Leary and Phil Nunez, all of whom made their first appearance at NCA Nationals. The Blue Demons were coached by head cheer coach Francine Dilay and Spirit Director Shanon Lersch.
