DePaul athletics staff received numerous awards at the annual convention
ORLANDO – DePaul University Athletics earned national acclaim this week, bringing home multiple honors during the 2025 National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and affiliated association conventions in Orlando, Florida.
The department earned top recognition from the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA), taking home the "Best of" Gold Award in Digital Media Engagement for the 2024-25 Blue Demons men's basketball schedule release. This category honors marketing campaigns that break through the noise across apps and social platforms to elevate a brand's presence. DePaul's road trip-themed campaign creatively illustrated the journey ahead for the team and generated sustainable growth in both social media and in-game engagement. The campaign was awarded gold in Group II (non-FBS Division I programs).
Additionally, the DePaul Ticket Office was named a top-seven finalist for Ticket Team of the Year by the National Association of Athletic Ticket Sales & Operations (NAATSO). The award recognizes outstanding achievement, creativity, and leadership in ticketing strategy and operations across all divisions of collegiate athletics.
Two members of DePaul Athletics were also recognized by College Sports Communications (CSC) for individual achievements. Vice President and Director of Athletics DeWayne Peevy received the 25-Year award for his longstanding service to the athletics communications profession. Meanwhile, Associate AD for Communications and Digital Strategy, Courtney Day, was honored as a part of the 2024 30 Under 30 Class.
These honors reflect DePaul's continued commitment to innovation, engagement, and excellence across all facets of its athletics program.
