Gopaldas Leads Blue Demons Through Round 1 Sunday

TALLAHASSEE, FLA. – Sophomore Rohan Gopaldas led DePaul Golf through a solid first round Sunday at the Seminole Intercollegiate. Gopaldas sat in eighth individually with a 71 (-1), helping the Blue Demons to a tie in 10th out of 21 teams. As a team, DePaul recorded a 297 (+9) on the day.

Behind Gopaldas through round one was Dominic Lucchesi with a 73 (+1) on the day. Lucchesi tallied four birdies on the front nine while Gopaldas had a total of five birdies across his 18 holes.

Billy Gneiser recorded a 75 (+3) followed by North Chery's 78 (+6). Gneiser's day was highlighted by an eagle on hole one. Matthew Rastogi rounded out DePaul's competitors with an 85 (+13).

Due to weather, teams began round two as part of an adjusted schedule Sunday. The second round will be concluded Monday afternoon, followed by the final round Tuesday as scheduled. With four holes remaining in the second round, Chery is shooting two-under par.
