Record 198 Student-Athletes Earn BIG EAST All-Academic Honors

DePaul places record number on BIG EAST Academic honors list
NEW YORK – A record 198 DePaul student-athletes have been named to the BIG EAST All-Academic Team, as announced by the conference Tuesday afternoon. Coming off a successful academic year with all 15 of DePaul's varsity sports programs recording above a 3.0 grade point average, the Blue Demons student-athletes continue to excel in the classroom.
Nominations for the All-Academic Team are submitted by each of the BIG EAST's 11 member schools and six affiliate institutions. To be eligible for the honor, a nominee must have competed in a BIG EAST-sponsored sport, attained a minimum grade-point average of 3.00 for the preceding academic year and completed a minimum of two consecutive semesters or three consecutive quarters of academic work, with a total of 18 semester or 27 quarter credits, not including remedial courses. There are a total of 3,085 honorees with 168 coming from affiliate institutions.
DePaul's academic success continues to reach unprecedented levels with nearly 90 percent of student-athletes receiving the honor, while a total of 156 student-athletes achieved above a 3.5 grade-point average. This past academic year, DePaul recorded a 3.512 grade-point average as a department – the second-highest in school history. The 2025-26 honors marks the 15th-straight year with over 150 student-athletes receiving All-Academic Team honors from the conference.
