Hailey Lacy, RDN, joined DePaul Athletics in August 2022 as the athletics department Registered Sports Dietitian. In her role, Lacy works with all of DePaul's sports teams to conduct individual student-athlete nutrition assessments, administer performance/medical nutrition therapy, coordinate team educations, perform supplement efficacy research and facilitate contracts with food vendors and wholesale partners.
Prior to joining DePaul, Lacy worked as a Registered Sports Dietitian at IMG Academy where she taught a research-based curriculum to student-athletes and adult campers in addition to counseling and educating campers on performance-based nutrition strategies.
Lacy did her internship with the University of South Florida Athletics Department where she planned and arranged meals for athletic teams and staffs in addition to counseling athletes on their nutrition goals. Lacy also administered and interpreted results of BIA testing to student-athletes while also assisting in the fuel station. Additional internships for Lacy took place at Morton Plant Hospital and Kentucky Athletics.
Lacy graduated with her B.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics from Eastern Kentucky University in May 2020 where she was a track & field student-athlete. She went on to earn her M.S. in Exercise Physiology and Nutrition from Florida State in 2022. She currently holds a RD credential through the Commission on Dietetics Registration and is a Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN) with the State of Illinois and is also a member of the Collegiate and Professional Sports Dietitians Association (CPSDA).
