Hugo Leenders takes over as a graduate assistant coach in 2017 after spending 12 years as a tennis coach, founder and CEO of the Maximum Tennis academy in the Netherlands that is a certified partner of the Royal Dutch Tennis Association. Leenders is certified to train and coach players at all levels including pro players.
He is enrolled in the MBA program at Kellstadt Graduate School of Business and expected to graduate in June, 2020. Leenders graduated in July, 2012 from Radboud University in Nijmegen, Netherlands with a degree in Economics.
As a standout tennis player, Leenders reached a career high by ranking No. 28 in singles and No. 18 in doubles in the Netherlands. He was one of only 16 players to qualify for the national championships. In the spring of 2017, he competed in the country's highest division on a team of mostly pro players from Belgium and the Netherlands.
