Jacob Forney joined the sports performance staff as assistant director in February 2021. He works primarily with cross country, women's soccer, men's tennis and track and field distance runners.
He served as an intern at DePaul in 2018 before earning his graduate degree in Sports Education at Gardner-Webb, while working in the Bulldogs athletic performance department. Prior to returning to DePaul, Forney worked with the track and field and cheerleading programs at Charlotte from Aug. 2020-Feb. 2021.
The South Holland, Ill., native completed his undergraduate degree in Health & Human Performance at UW-Platteville in 2017 where he was a four-year member of the football team as a linebacker for the Pioneers.
