Jarred Clarkson joined the DePaul athletics department in October of 2022 as Associate Athletics Director for Development.
In his role, he serves as a member of DePaul’s Development team, which is committed to building strong relationships with the DePaul community, the University’s alumni, and the Blue Demon fan base; all with the hopes of growing support and providing the necessary resources to allow DePaul’s more than 225 student-athletes to pursue excellence in the classroom, in competition, and in the community.
Before arriving at DePaul, Clarkson had stints at Western Kentucky University, Louisiana State University and most recently at The University of Tampa. While at LSU he served in multiple roles of the Tiger Athletic Foundation both as Development Officer over the Annual Fund, and as Development Officer over Major Gifts. In his first year of managing the annual fund, the program saw an increase in annual donations of 150%. Throughout his six years at LSU, Clarkson was part of a fundraising team that raised over $53 million in philanthropic donations, including funding three capital projects.
The Kentucky native received his bachelor’s degree in Sport Administration from University of Louisville in 2013, where he was also a member of the Cardinals baseball team. He also earned his Master’s degree in Recreation & Sport Administration (Intercollegiate Athletic Administration Concentration) in 2016 from Western Kentucky University.
