Marty Murphy returned to DePaul Athletics in July of 2013 where he has worked in various rules, including being elevated to his current position of Senior Associate Athletics Director for Ticket Operations, Sales, and Strategy in 2022. Murphy has also served as Director of Ticket Sales and Operations and Associate Athletics Director of Ticket Sales and Operations. Murphy also serves as a member of the Department's senior leadership team.
Under Murphy's guidance, the DePaul Ticket Office has recorded record breaking success. In the last three years, the Blue Demons have recorded a number of attendance and revenue records including - the department's first sellout of Wintrust Arena, highest season ticket renewal rate in the history of the facility, highest-attended regular-season women's basketball game in program history, the men's soccer program's first capacity crowd and highest ticket sales revenue in school history for volleyball, softball and men's soccer. DePaul has also partnered in a multi-year agreement with Taymar Sales to further enhance the Blue Demons ticket operations.
Murphy had a previous stint in the DePaul Athletics Department as Assistant Director of Tickets Sales from August 2007-April 2012. He held various sales roles with American Transport Group and State Street Properties before returning to Lincoln Park in 2013.
A 2006 graduate of DePaul's College of Commerce, Murphy has been affiliated with the University and Athletics Department for over 20 years in various capacities. He began his Athletics career as a student worker in the athletic facilities department, before a two-year internship with the sports marketing office. Prior to working for DePaul full time, Murphy held positions with the Chicago Bulls Tickets Sales Office and the Windy City ThunderBolts.
