David Booth played DePaul Men's Basketball from 1988-92. At the time of his induction into the Hall of Fame, Booth ranked second in career-point total (1,933), fifth in career steals (165) and sixth in career blocks (113). Booth graduated as the first player in DePaul history to accumulate more than 1500 points, 500 rebounds, 200 assists and 100 blocks in a single career. In his sophomore year, Booth was named Sports Illustrated National Player of the Week after scoring 37 points against Louisville. In 1991, he received honorable mention All-American and, the following year, he was a part of the first team All-Great Midwest Conference (1992). Booth helped uplift DePaul to two NCAA and one NIT tournament appearances.
Post-graduation, Booth was automatically eligible for the 1992 NBA Draft and spent 14 years playing professional basketball overseas. He was the JBL Super League top scorer and rebounder twice in his career.Â
Upon his retirement from professional basketball, Booth served as a scout for the Memphis Grizzlies and New Orleans Pelicans before being named the Pelicans Director of Player Personnel in 2019. Booth was named the NBA Vice President of Basketball Operations in 2020 and currently serves as a member of the DePaul University Board of Trustees.Â
