Tulane and Southern Miss to Battle Volleyball Team
10/27/2000 12:00:00 AM | WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL
Friday night, DePaul (17-7, 7-3 Conference USA) will take on Tulane (14-8, 6-4 C-USA) who is just a game behind the Blue Demons in the overall conference standings. A win gives DePaul a two game cushion over the Green Wave and shifts the focus to securing a top four seed in the tournament. However, a loss places both teams in a tie for fifth overall with the tiebreaker going to Tulane.
On Saturday night, DePaul will swap opponents with Marquette, as they have all season, with Tulane heading to Milwaukee and Southern Miss venturing south from Marquette. Southern Miss (9-14, 2-8 C-USA) is fourth in the National Division and would be the tenth seed if the conference tournament began today.
Both matches begin at 7 p.m. at the DePaul Athletic Center.
