CHICAGO - Stephanie Bishop posted 13 kills and Melissa Nordine added 12 as the DePaul volleyball team disposed of Southern Miss 3-1 (15-4, 14-16, 15-10, 15-3) on Saturday at the DePaul Athletic Center.
"It's always nice to get Conference USA wins," DePaul head coach Dawn Dockstader said. "We have a very big week coming up and we're very happy to be entering it with a four-match winning streak under our belts."
The win, which was DePaul's fourth straight, improved the Blue Demons 19-7 overall and 9-3 in Conference USA while the Golden Eagles fell to 9-16 and 2-10.
Along with Bishop and Nordine, Christa Dirr had 12 digs while Mary Anne Flanigan chipped in with 10.
Southern Miss was led by Lindsey Westendorf's 15 kills and 10 digs.
In the match, DePaul's junior setter Kara Jakusz, who dished out 42 assists on the night, recorded the 1,000th dig of her career while classmate Dirr moved into fourth place on the school's all-time blocks list.
DePaul will be in action again on Wednesday when it travels to Loyola-Chicago for the final non-conference match of the season before heading to Louisville and Cincinnati for a pair of C-USA road matches over the weekend.
