Volleyball Falls To Charlotte

CHICAGO (November 10) - Charlotte rallied from a 2-1 deficit to beat DePaul 3-2 (5-15, 15-8, 14-16, 15-8, 15-10) in a Conference USA match on Friday at the DePaul Athletic Center.
The win moved the 49ers to 13-16 overall and 7-8 in C-USA while the Blue Demons fell to 19-11 and 9-6.
The Blue Demons were led by Stephanie Bishop who posted 23 kills, including the 1,500th of her career, and 19 digs. Christa Dirr had 17 kills while Katie Engel added 16 kills and 22 digs. Kara Jakusz dished out 62 assists.
Charlotte got a triple double from senior setter Ozlem Ozkan who had 64 assists, 15 digs and 12 kills. Christy Galvin had 26 kills and 18 digs while Esra Akgun added 17 kills.
DePaul closes out the regular season on Saturday when Saint Louis comes to the Athletic Center for a 7:00 p.m. match while Charlotte travels to Milwaukee on Saturday to face Marquette.
