Shelly Knight Leads Women's Cross Country At Bell Invitational

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Freshman Shelly Knight made her collegiate debut one to remember as she led the DePaul women's cross country squad at the annual Sam Bell Invitational on Friday at the Indiana Cross Country Course.
There were no team scores kept in the meet.
Knight, a rookie from Loveland, Ohio, ran the 4K race in 18:10.12 and finished 38th overall.
Four Blue Demons finished immediately behind Knight in Lynsey Psimas (18:10.55), Molly Marcucci (18:10.90), Jessical Karlin (18:11.26) and Erin Moffett (18:11.46).
Trina Knight, the twin sister of Shelly, finished 50th overall in 22:16.33.
The Blue Demons will run again on Saturday when they travel to West Lafayette, Ind. for Purdue's Mike Poehlein Invitational.
