Jakusz Triple Double Paces Volleyball

BIRMINGHAM, AL -- Kara Jakusz recorded a triple double and the DePaul volleyball team remained unbeaten in Conference USA play with a 3-0 (15-8, 15-10, 15-9) win over UAB on Friday at Bartow Arena.
DePaul moved to 11-3 overall and a perfect 2-0 in C-USA action.
"It's a Conference USA road win and that is something you always have to be excited about," DePaul head coach Dawn Dockstader said. "Kara was outstanding tonight and she has been that way all season."
Jakusz, a junior setter from Lemont, Ill., recorded 39 assists with 15 digs and 10 kills.
Sophomore Katie Engel recorded 13 kills with a .313 hitting percentage while Melissa Nordine had two key service aces in game three of the match.
The Blue Demons will be in action again tomorrow night when they travel to Memphis for a C-USA match at 7:00 p.m.
