The Illinois All-Stars are 0-1 in their exhibition tour, losing at eighth-ranked Iowa 116-68 on Thursday.
Last Time Out
The Blue Demons exploded for 114 points en route to a 114-96 win over the EA Sports All-Stars on Thursday at the DePaul Athletic Center. Lance Williams led DePaul with 20 points while Drake Diener added 18. Imari Sawyer dished out 10 assists for the Blue Demons.
A Lot Of Points
The 114 points that DePaul scored on Thursday was the most in an exhibition game during the Pat Kennedy era. The previous high was 100 against the California All-Stars on November 7, 1999 at Alumni Hall.
Exhibition History
DePaul is a perfect 9-0 in exhibition games under Pat Kennedy after Thursday’s 114-96 win over the EA Sports All-Stars. Last season, the Blue Demons were 2-0 in the exhibition season. In the opener DePaul beat the California All-Stars 98-86 behind Joe Tulley’s 27 points while Andre Brown added 24. In the second game, the Blue Demons beat the One World All-Stars 75-72 with Brown scoring 18 points and Bobby Simmons adding 17 points and 10 rebounds.

Preseason NIT
DePaul will open the 2001-02 season on Monday, November 12 against Fordham in the first round of the Preseason NIT at the Rockford MetroCentre. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m.
Home Opener
The 2001-02 home opener is slated for Sunday, November 25 against Youngstown State at the Allstate Arena. Tip-off is at 2 p.m.
Kennedy Closing In
DePaul head coach Pat Kennedy is 16 wins shy of reaching the 400-victory plateau. He currently ranks 30th among active coaches in victories with 384.
New Face
There is a new face on the DePaul bench this season as Jim Todd has joined the coaching staff. Todd, who was hired last spring, comes to the Blue Demons after serving as head coach of the Los Angeles Clippers. He also served as an assistant with the Clippers and Milwaukee Bucks. Prior to joining the NBA ranks, Todd was a successful head coach at Salem State.
Burno Rankings
Senior Rashon Burno, the only three-time team captain in school history, enters his senior season ranked among DePaul’s all-time leaders. The 5-7 guard is fifth in steals (158), 11th in assists (158), tied for 11th in 3pt. field goals made (72) and 12th in 3pt. field goals attempted (218).
Williams Nears 1,000
Senior Lance Williams needs 132 points to reach the 1,000-point mark in his career. He would become the 39th player in Blue Demon history to reach that plateau. Williams is currently 50th in all-time scoring at DePaul with 868 points.
