Volleyball Hosts Louisville on Senior Night

CHICAGO -- The Blue Demons volleyball team hosts Louisville tonight at 7:00 p.m. at the Athletic Center on Senior Night. Louisville sits at 10-3 in Conference USA with the Blue Demons one-half game behind at 9-3. Both teams are chasing 12-1 Cincinnati. The Cardinals took the first meeting of the year between the two teams in four games at Cardinal Arena in Louisville.
The meeting will be the final home game for the six seniors on the team who will be recognized prior to the match. Here's a look at what the Blue Demons seniors have accomplished during their careers.
STEPHANIE BISHOP
2001: set Conference USA career record for digs in victory over Illinois State...broke C-USA career record for kills in victory over Tulane...moved into second place on DePaul career kills (1,911), attempts (5,131) and digs (1,694) lists...ranks eighth in C-USA averaging 4.05 kills per game and fourth averaging 3.50 digs per game...MVP of the Northern Illinois Invitational...Conference USA Player of the Week (Sept. 3)...Conference USA co-Player of the Week (Oct. 21)...recorded 21 double figure kill games and 18 double figure dig games...team-high 18 double-doubles...recorded season-high 21 kills against Texas-San Antonio and season-high 23 digs vs. Texas-San Antonio, South Florida and Tulane. 2000: first team All-Conference USA...all-tournament at Butler Invitational, Amerihost Classic and Blue Demon Invitational...seven matches with at least 20 digs...fifth in C-USA in digs and sixth in kills...nine matches with at least 20 kills. 1999: first team All C-USA...C-USA All-Tournament team...AVCA National Division I Player of the Week and C-USA Player of the Week (Oct. 18)...12th in the nation in digs per game...led C-USA in digs per game and was fourth in kills per game...second player in DePaul history to record 600 kills and 500 digs in the same season. 1998: selected to the C-USA All-Newcomer team...second on team in both kills and digs...first DePaul freshman since 1988 to have 400 kills in a season.
