Demons Win Final Tune-Up

CHICAGO – Andre Brown posted a double-double and DePaul had four players in double figures as the Blue Demons beat the Illinois All-Stars 88-77 in their final exhibition game of the season on Sunday at the Athletic Center.
Brown, a sophomore from Chicago, scored 17 points (shooting 6-8 from the field) and grabbed 11 rebounds (including six on the offensive end) to lead the Blue Demon attack.
Senior Lance Williams added 13 points and seven rebounds while sophomore Imari Sawyer scored 14 points. Sam Hoskin made his DePaul debut with 10 points and six rebounds.
The Illinois All-Stars were led by Rico Hill’s 17 points and 12 rebounds while Rob Feaster also added 17 points.
DePaul will open the regular season on Monday, November 12 against Fordham in the opening round of the Preseason NIT at the Rockford MetroCentre in Rockford, Ill.
