Balanced Blue Demons Beat Chicago State

ROSEMONT, Ill. – Five DePaul players scored in double figures and Sam Hoskin recorded his second consecutive double-double as the Blue Demons beat Chicago State 79-63 on Tuesday at the Allstate Arena.
The win was DePaul’s second straight and improved the Blue Demons to 5-4 while the Cougars dropped to 1-7.
The Blue Demons were never seriously threatened and took the lead for good just under four minutes into the contest. DePaul’s biggest lead of the contest came at 19 (74-55) with over two minutes to play in the game.
Hoskin scored 16 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead the Blue Demons while Lance Williams and Quemont Greer added 14 points. Imari Sawyer, making his first start since December 1, scored 13 points and dished out a game-high seven assists. Joe Tulley was the final DePaul player in double figures as he tossed in 10.
Rubeen Perry’s 13 points led Chicago State while Danny Osby added 12.
DePaul will face Temple in Philadelphia on Saturday.
