MILWAUKEE – DePaul was shut out by UW-Milwaukee on Tuesday night at the Klotsche Center in Milwaukee (30-24, 30-21, 30-18). Although the Blue Demons put up a tough fight, they could not exceed the offensive labors of the Panthers.
Despite four kills and four digs from Janet Goreham in game one, the Blue Demons had trouble topping the opposition.
In game two, the Blue Demons struggled again to out-hit UW-Milwaukee. Panther standout Tari Boutin entered the game for the Panthers in her first appearance since she broke her finger during pre-season. She managed to give the Panthers five kills in round two of the match.
Game three brought no luck for DePaul. Coach Dockstader’s squad played a fundamental game but could not surpass the Panther’s chemistry.
Janet Cotter led in kills with seven and digs with nine. Janet Goreham added six kills while Amy Holmes gave three kills and eight digs.
DePaul looks ahead to their conference opener against Cincinnati on Friday, October 4, at home.
