Men's Soccer Hosts IPFW

CHICAGO – The DePaul men’s soccer team hosts the Mastondons of IPFW on Sunday afternoon. The Blue Demons enter the match at 3-5-2 overall and while IPFW stands at 2-9-1. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. at Wish Field.
Looking at the Blue Demons
DePaul is snapped a four-match winless streak with a 2-1 win over Memphis last Saturday… offensively, six players have found the net... Luke Rojo leads the squad with three goals while Edwin Arreola, Jonathan Foley and Adam Hermsen have scored twice... Tim Blake and Anthony Minniti have scored once... two of Rojo's three goals have been game-winners... Bob Kruse leads the club with three assists... the Blue Demons have been outscored, 21-12, through 10 matches... DePaul is 1-0-1 in overtime matches and 2-1 in one-goal games... Rojo and Foley were named to the All-Tournament team at the Coca-Cola Panther Invitational... Rojo earned Conference USA All-Freshman team honors last season... Foley and Kruse are team captains in 2002... after opening the season with nine straight road matches, the Blue Demons play seven of the final 10 regular-season matches at Wish Field... head coach Craig Blazer is in his first season without the "Interim" tag... he was named interim coach a day before the first exhibition game last season after Tom Secco resigned.

IPFW is winless in their last seven matches and hold an overall record of 2-9-1. Head coach Terry Stefankiewicz is in his 18th season in Fort Wayne. On Friday, they tied Western Michigan, 2-2. They have been outscored, 35-25, while Seth Fishelson leads the club with 20 points on seven goals and six assists. A year ago, IPFW knocked off DePaul, 3-1, in Fort Wayne.
