CHICAGO - The Blue Demons were pushed aside by Tulane Friday night in four games (30-25, 26-30, 30-24, 30-26). The Green Wave out-hit Depaul 60 kills to 48 kills in the two hour match. Britney Hurst racked up 18 kills and 18 digs for Tulane and Deva Fowler added 15 kills and seven blocks.
DePaul sought its energy from Cheryl Przychodni to rally against the Green Wave. Przychodni played an outstanding all around game that included five solo blocks and two block assists.
"Cheryl made a difference tonight," said Coach Dockstader. "She patrolled the net, she was a force in the front row, and when we ran out of subs she had four digs off the bat in the back court."
DePaul hosts their second conference match of the weekend on Saturday at the Athletic Center. The Blue Demons welcome the Golden Eagles of Southern Miss.
"We need to regroup for tomorrow’s match and focus on our individual problem areas," said Dockstader.
The match begins at 7 p.m.
