UW-Green Bay Tops Volleyball

CHICAGO - The Blue Demons suffered a loss to UW-Green Bay Tuesday night at the Athletic Center, dropping their record to 5-18. The Phoenix played a solid match against DePaul, beating them in four games behind the leadership of Jessie Theys and Janelle Tomlinson.
"Green Bay came out strong tonight," said DePaul Head Coach Dawn Dockstader. "They out-played us in every aspect of the game. Every single one of their players came out and played hard."
"Tomlinson and Theys were impressive, they’re great," added Dockstader. "They carried their team offensively, and defensively their entire team played well."
For the Phoenix, Tomlinson gave 26 kills and hit a .308 while Theys had 20 kills and earned a hitting percentage of .457.
DePaul attempted to rally but were no match for UW-Green Bay.
Lara Marks led the Blue Demons offensively with 17 kills and earned a .353 attack percentage. Janet Cotter and Katie Engel both added eight to the match. Amy Holmes had three service aces and Amie West dished out 40 assists.
The Blue Demons are on the road this weekend as they travel to Memphis and Saint Louis for two conference matches.
